BDIH is the non-profit Association of Industries and Trading Firms for pharmaceuticals, health care products, food supplements and personal hygiene products. In 1996, working together with leading natural cosmetics producers, the BDIH developed comprehensive guidelines for certified natural cosmetics, keeping in mind the expectations of consumers. On the basis of these guidelines, an independent institute has tested more than 2,000 products for their contents and production methods.
ICEA is a non-profit consortium involving entities, associations, businesses and civil society organizations. It monitors and certifies several thousands of companies that carry out their activities in respect of humans and the environment, protecting the dignity of workers and consumer rights. ICEA contributes to the sustainable development of organic agriculture through the control and certification of Italian companies in the field of regulated and voluntary ethical and environmental standards.
COSMEBIO® is the Professional Association for Natural, Ecological and Organic cosmetics. COSMEBIO® federates the professional players in the industry and brings together over 400 members in France and abroad. Since 2002, COSMEBIO® has been working to promote natural and ecological cosmetics made with ingredients from organic farming and developed using green technologies (green chemistry).
USDA certified organic foods are grown and processed according to federal guidelines addressing, among many factors, soil quality, animal raising practices, pest and weed control, and use of additives. Organic producers rely on natural substances and physical, mechanical, or biologically based farming methods to the fullest extent possible.

The Soil Association, its standards and activities, and the practice of organic farmers are all based on a set of internationally recognized principles. ECOCERT is an inspection and certification body established in France in 1991 by agronomists aware of the need to develop environmentally friendly agriculture and of the importance of offering some form of recognition to those committed to this method of production. Ecocert today works with French and international institutions in supporting project development. By winning the confidence of professionals and consumers, ECOCERT has become a benchmark in organic certification worldwide.

Oregon Tilth is a leading non-profit certifier, educator and advocate for organic agriculture and products since 1974. Our mission to make our food system and agriculture biologically sound and socially equitable requires us to find practical ways to tackle big challenges. We advance this mission to balance the needs of people and planet through focus on core areas of certification, conservation, social equity, policy and the marketplace.
ETKO was established in 1996 as a domestic certification body in central Izmir and conducts international field inspection and certification procedures. Developed Organic Textile Standards and conducts certification processes within the framework of GOTS Global Organic Textile Standards. Organically, products certified by ETKO can be listed as food, textile, leather, cosmetics, agricultural production, textile and food business entrances, natural collection products, cleaning products, restaurants and catering.
The ICADA Premium Seal of Quality is licensed by contract only to organic and natural personal care companies serving specialist suppliers, in order to uphold the distinction between specialist suppliers and cheap discount stores. ICADA’s main affinity is with specialist suppliers, whose expertise and awareness of nature provide an excellent basis for the sale of organic and natural personal care products. Businesses that do not offer the qualified expertise of specialist suppliers should not be able to compete with specialist suppliers by having the same natural cosmetic seal of quality.
